Racial equity work is core to my values and belief system. I’ve never known an environment that wasn’t made better by sharing space, power, and learning with others: I hail from a multi-racial and multi-cultural family, grew up in diverse neighborhoods, and attended schools with sizable BIPOC populations. These varied and enriching experiences have shaped who I am, how I walk into a room, and how I engage with others. However, I recognize that my experiences are not universal ones and it’s important to me to use them to inform, educate, and broaden the perspectives of others.
