Rashidah Lopez Morgan

I pursued a career in education because I was appalled by the inequities that Black and Brown children experience as they seek a high-quality education. I wanted to make a difference in the field through my work and realized that I had an opportunity to effect change by sharing my perspective on education as a Black woman. When I began prioritizing leading through my own lived experience in my organization and my community, I saw significant shifts. I will leverage the power of my authentic leadership to continue fighting for racial equity and social justice in education.
